Through support of the community, local businesses, medical staff, employees and volunteers at West Valley Hospital, the Moonlight and Vines Gala held on August 8, 2003 raised $19,255 to be added to the unrestricted fund to be used where need is greatest. The West Valley Hospital Foundation was established in 1999 to assist the hospital in purchasing equipment, adding services and building a new facility. Major projects funded by the Foundation in 2003 include:
